Danish Muslims Protest Violently

After the republication of the cartoons depicting Mohammed in various ways, Danish Muslims have taken to the streets in protest. Police have arrested at least 50 people for torching cars and other violent acts.

Protestors shouted (get this), "God is Great!" and "Freedom of speech is like a plague!".(BBC) Actually, its more like cocaine, because it makes you feel great and it's addictive. It's also expensive and hard to get, it's also hard to keep unless you're very careful.

"Many carried the black and white flags of Hizb ut-Tahrir - the radical Islamic party that calls for the creation of a caliphate.
Earlier, at Friday prayers, Danish Muslims from many backgrounds expressed frustration that one of the cartoons they find so offensive could have been printed again."
(Ibid)

Frustration that the cartoons have been printed again? How about frustration in the west that there was a plot to kill a 70 year old cartoonist by radical Islamist immigrants because of a picture he drew. How about frustration that cars are being torched because of a fundamental human right that is ingrained in our society through hundreds of years of tradition that has been preserved through sacrifice and the shedding of blood in war against tyranny and oppression of the same sort these Islamists now align themselves with?

Freedom of speech requires those of a religious bent to grow a thick skin. Jews and Christians have certainly learned this lesson over the years, but I doubt that Muslims will be as accepting of the fact that from time to time, they may feel offended by what someone says, writes, or draws.

Danish MP's have cancelled a trip to Iran and are refusing to apologize for the republication of the cartoons. Villy Soevndal, a Danish MP, said, "If anyone needs to apologise for freedom of speech, human rights, imprisonments, executions and lack of democracy, it is the Iranians."(link)

Did you hear that Obama? Probably not.

Perhaps Europe is beginning to wake up after all?

Our courageous CPC have instructed their people to shut up about the Human Rights issue. Any election should be run on this issue. It is the MOST significant issue of our time and it needs to be addressed.

Mel, you have it 100%

Election issue numero uno.

Funny tho, The Muslims on the left side of the Atlantic use the HRC to complain that most of us non-muslims are Islamiphobic, and we 'subject them to humiliation and hurt feelings' ect, but they never think to ask WHY we might feel that way..... as the buildings and cars burn in Denmark. Priceless example of "DUH!"

I suspect they believe that 'we' believe the violence over in Europe is caused only by 'youths' who can't find a job. One group is friggin' stupid. The same group thinks WE are stupid.
