Barack Obama admitted to Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace that his pastor, Jeremiah Wright, is a legitimate issue to talk about in the campaign. Good for Obama, but this will make his task of defending the reasons as to why he continued to attend Wright's church more difficult. It boils down to Obama's judgment, and more importantly whether he feels such racist and treasonous views are legitimate positions.
Obama will have a hard time winning an election the more Wright's statements are played on national television. Watch below for a few of the most outrageous and disgusting:
What will sicken most Americans even more is that Wright is so unapologetic and defiant about the ridiculous and hateful things he says. Comparing the US Marines to the Roman legions is insane. Saying that the US was wrong to use nuclear weapons on Japan in WWII shows a total lack of historical knowledge because those two bombs probably saved millions of Japanese and American lives despite that they killed almost 150,000 Japanese.
Wright has tried to characterize criticism of his words as a criticism of the black church. This is a cop-out on Wright's part and I'm sure that millions of black Americans are just as sickened by Wright's comments as many white Americans are.
The remarkable thing about the primary season is that it is the Democrats who have made race, religion, and gender such huge issues. The GOP has avoided the issues entirely, I would go so far as to say that the GOP has transcended race, not Obama. The GOP has transcended gender, not Hillary. And the GOP has not brought religion into the election, the Democratic candidates have. The longer the Democrat primary goes on, the more Americans they will turn off from their party.
Americans want optimism and hope, they want to win in Iraq, and they want to secure the homeland while keeping taxes low. Neither Hillary nor Obama seem capable of doing any of those things effectively.
So here's what Wright has honored, rather than his own country:
Now McCain should grow a pair and start attacking Obama for his association with Wright, William Ayers, it is a legitimate criticism that goes to Obama's judgment, character, and trustworthiness.
Here's the NC Republican ad that McCain opposes:

As a supporter of Obama, I see no reason why McCain would object to the ad put on by the North Carolina Republican party. Seems like fair game to me.
Because McCain doesn't know who his friends are. He's been voting against his own party so long he probably forgets who his real enemies are. But once there is a Democratic nominee, he'll get a reminder real fast.
