Team Canada's Pathetic Win

Shades of 2006. Canada has put together a team of all stars, but ones who are either partying too hard or don't like doing the things necessary to do what's necessary to win. This is no all star game. Hitting counts, toughness counts.

This fancy play is not going to win a gold. I hope the players recognize that the nation is counting on them, and if that means mixing it up in the corners and getting a lot more shots on net instead of endless passing and fancy plays.

The Swiss shouldn't have caused such problems for team Canada. Yes, we got a win, but nothing to be proud of. The USA will be a much tougher opponent on Sunday.

In 2002 we lost 5-2 to the Swedes, and barely beat the Germans in our first two games. And as I recall, things ended pretty well for us. So, don't jump off that bridge just yet.

50 shots on net. I would say the real story is the Swiss goalie.

yeah, the US team only beat the Swiss 3-1...i think the Swiss team is better than most give credit for, at least defensively...

Wanted - Goon hockey -
This describes typical NHL hockey and the reason I don't watch it any more. How about skating and stick handling skills instead of trying to put someone through the glass.
