Bob Rae: The Failure Returns

How could someone with a record like former Ontario Premier Bob Rae, ever get elected to Parliament?  I'm mystified by this fact.  Rae was a complete, utter, cataclysmic disaster for the province of Ontario.  I dare say he was the worst premier the province ever had.

Canada is the land of opportunity, or at least second chances.  He's undoubtedly vying for the hapless leader, Michael Ignatieff's job.  But why would the Liberal Party want this loser for their leader?  Well, maybe I needn't answer that after Paul Martin and Stephane Dion.

On top of Rae's track record of failure, he's now putting together a new push for a coalition with unrepentant communists (NDP) and the Bloc (who want to destroy Canada), according to the Globe and Mail.

Rae, of course, denies this.  But his lust for power is evident from this new ploy to dethrone Harper.  Even if Rae succeeds and becomes PM, I would doubt his coalition would last long and would probably be a mortal wound for the Liberal Party that would lead to a Conservative majority.

If Rae wants power so bad, let him run and put together his socialist-separatist coalition.  The sad part is that the Canadian people and economy would suffer just as Ontarians did during his stint as Premier.

Bob Rae won't succeed.
Even if he does wrest the leadership of the liberal party away from Ignatieff.
I don't think Ontario's citizens will forget.
He keeps at it.
He must think he's got an outside chance.
Or else he wouldn't keep playing the game.
Why?

Everwhere I turn I must pay a fee for something that was my natural birthright here in Ontario. Thanks to Bobble Head Bob. Now that I am a senior on a fixed income it Rankles me Rae. Even more when I see you trying to invade the middle of the road Liberals who don't stand for anything but will lie down for you.

If the public hate Harper then they will hate Reactionary Rae even more.

If main stream Liberals are truly aware then the would shun Rae with alacrity. I have a feeling that if Rae won the liberal leadership that middle of the road Liberals would come to join the modern day Conservatives.

I would personally accept Igniatief as leader if the worst happened but never Rae. Don't read this as any kind of endorsement for Iffy.

I can't agree that Rae is the worst ever Ont. Premiere. He was bad enough to be sure, but his time was relatively short, just the one term. This assured that Ont. would not vote in another NDP government in living memory and he also made way for the Harris era.
On the other hand, Dalton McGuinty has had 2 terms to mismanage the province to a degree the NDP could only dream of. When his electricity and HST bills come due, he will deserve the distiction of worst Ont government ever, maybe worst Canadaian ever.

To refer to the NDP as communist is asinine. Do your Home work. The Communist Party is way farther to the left on the political slide mt friend. It was not all the NDP's fault for the direction that Rae took Ontario. It was said the provinces books were balanced when Rae took Office. This was not the case thanks to the Fiberals hiding the real numbers. Im more Liberal than NDP put i vote strategically know that in my area the Libs never have a chance so I vote for them is a vote in the Trash. I will again Vote NDP to unseat this local conservative. youtube bill c-32 former bill c-60. see how the cons were trying to pad the pockets of big media companies.
