Bombs in Rome

Two bombs detonated in Rome at the Swiss and Chilean embassies.  Serious hand injuries resulted to a staff member at the Swiss embassy who worked in the mail room where one of the bombs detonated.

Another person was also injured by the blast at the Chilean embassy. A report that another bomb was found at the Ukrainian embassy turned out to be false.

Fox News reports: "Rome Mayor Gianni Alemanno, speaking outside the Swiss Embassy, said the motive of the Swiss attack appeared to be international as opposed to domestic in nature, distinguishing the blast from the fake bomb that was discovered on a Rome subway earlier this week."

Terror threat levels are heightened in Europe and North America right now in anticipation that Islamic terrorists may try to strike western targets at Christmas time.
